You know that scene in Harry Potter where they are working with the bogarts and one of them turns into a huge spider on roller skates? Well, that's kind of what Andrew looks on roller skates. Yup, that's right, Andrew and Alexis went roller skating for the first time last Saturday. If there hadn't been arcade games there to distract Andrew, skating with him may have been more successful, but overall for a first time it wasn't too bad. Sorry no pictures, hard enough keeping the kids on there feet, i didn't even try to get my phone at the same time. Some funny notes for the day..
On the way to the rink, I was telling Grant that the fugitive that had been on the loose here had been killed in a standoff with the police and that I guess he got his wish about not going back to jail and Andrew pipes up and says "we can't go to jail." Alexis said "Jail's bad" and Andrew says "we never going to jailhouse, No jailhouse" just funny to hear a 2 yr old talking about a jailhouse as if he knew what it was. Then we get in the rink and he sees the skates and says "I need my skateboards" he got his skates and says "look mommy, skateboards on my boots" the whole day he never shortened skateboards to skates. Alexis did well when she wasn't thinking about what she was doing or telling me that I would make her go too fast.
Anyway, it was something new to try, hopefully more to come.
