Grant and the kiddos participated in VBS at Lakeland this week. I was not on the ball with getting a picture of each theme day outfit.
Day 1 was red white and blue. Alexis wore a 4th of July outfit. Alexis was very proud of her glittery apple and telling us that God made her the way she was. They made snack taxis and she said "we just took our candies and stuck them on and they were a car"
Day 2 was past VBS day...since this was Alexis' 1st true VBS as a full time participant we didn't have one of our own previous shirts for her to wear but luckily we had a hand me down from Leisl's (her cousin) previous VBS - bonus: the shirt was purple. She did a better job about standing up and singing with her class and enjoyed her "ice cream" - lady libery torch cupcakes. (though her random under her breath singing this evening was 5 little speckled frogs - it's stuck in your head now isn't it!)
Day 3 was sports day. Both kids (and Grant) sported their Rangers gear She told me she drove a Taxi and ate a cookie and was singing the VBS songs as she walked around the house. we learned today that somebody this week showed her how to put her hand up to somebody's face in a frustrated fashion (think talk to the hand) and then continue on with what she wants to do.
Day 5 was crazy hair day and I actually did get a picture.
She'll get to do it all over again in a few weeks!
Preschool VBS songs
I'm sure Grant has more stories of the Kindergarteners...
