Then it was time for swimsuits and popsicles. To this point, the girls had matching plates, matching pizza, matching cups and now matching popsicles. They donned their water wings and headed to the pool once we were all ready. We decided to attempt putting Andrew in a floaty again and he protested for a few minutes and then I'm not sure whether he gave in because he was too tired to fuss about it or if he was too involved with the toys we had given him, but either way he stayed in through the jumping contests, the splashing, nearly falling asleep and had a good water experience (Finally!).
The next day we did light cleaning at home while Daddy was working at church and then decided on an impromptu outing (again) once he got home...problem is we misjudged our time and that our directions to where we were going would be correct and arrived as everything was closing down. By this point the kiddos had fallen asleep in the car though Alexis was waking up so we headed home so they could have more rest time. Alexis wanted to ride around on her tricycle outside even though it was hot and Andrew was content to watch from the window...concerned Alexis would get too hot, we put her in her swimsuit once again and daddy sat in the garage and sprayed her with the hose while she ran around. Good old 4 yr old fun. Andrew was none to pleased to go outside while daddy was spraying (even while he was no where near the line of fire) he was also not happy when daddy sprayed the window.
Update: Andrew may have had 1 good water experience, but as of Monday night he still screams and tries to get out when bathing.
