So, when Alexis was the age Andrew is now, Ms. D was excited when she found food (not babyfood) that Alexis was willing to eat. This has not been an issue with Andrew. The only time he spits out food is so that he can examine it and then put it in his mouth himself, smash it with his hands or because he is full. Then yesterday Ms. D had news for me. She found a food that Andrew WOULD NOT EAT. It was just so surprising that our little bottomless pit that puts everything in his mouth would not eat this.
Are you ready for what it was?
J-E-LL-O.
The other kids picked up their little slippery pieces and put them in their mouths and ate it up. Andrew put his in and repeatedly spit it back out, so she tried another flavor. Same thing.
So we'll see if his aversion to Jello lasts as mine has. Grant thinks we need to try to give hiim Jello at every meal now so that he doesn't hate something that is important for every child's diet.
