January marks the beginning of the year obviously. This also means the beginning of "birthday season"and the beginning of "regular child immune system building" season.
GG came to stay for a night as she travelled from Panhandle to Waco.
Our first birthday party was last Saturday. We actually had 2 scheduled...one for each child to attend at the same time, but that's not how the day went.
We woke up with one kiddo sick in the bed and it continued for a while. So Alexis went to Riley's party at Going Bonkers while Andrew and Daddy stayed home. By the end of the day and a few clothing changes later, Andrew was better.

A few days later though, A2 was sick again and had an ear infection. Poor little guy's drainage makes him sick. Immune system building season is much like having a Newborn in the parental sleep department.

Backtracking to the end of the year...we finally made it to see the trains at North Park. I've wanted to go other years, but we never made it over there until this year. And the best part was that Alexis has been asking about when it is time to go to the State Fair on and off since we went. We just keep telling her that it's "next year" (at the time it was) and "in October" well, she got to see the miniature replica, but we were informed that she still wanted to go to the real thing. :-)
