The week between Christmas and New Years was planned to be productive, but ended up being much more relaxing and much less productive.
We put the Christmas stuff away one day while the kids were at preschool. The night Alexis asked if she could plug in the Christmas tree and then realized it was gone and asked what happened to it....this was 2 or 3 whole hours after she got home and had already had plenty of time to notice it wasn't there.
So after an uneventful week and very little studying done, came New Year's Eve.
We got a babysitter and went to dinner with some friends at Oishi for Hibachi! YUM!
When we got home, the kiddos were bouncy and happy so we decided to go ahead and try going to another friends' for their annual NYE party. Last year, it didn't work out so well with both kiddos and we came home early, but this year they were both troopers. The older kids are good sports to hang out with ours because ours are so much younger. Andrew lasted until around 11 and then he was just done and started crying, then he went to sleep on Grant's shoulder before we laid him down. Before that, he was content to kick and toss balls around with the boys. Alexis checked on Andrew and watched movies and played with the girls. We played Bible Taboo which was harder than we expected and then we counted down to the new year!
Happy 2012!
