So lately we have been dealing with some back talk and basic verbal acting out from Alexis. She's testing her limits and seeing what things are really bad and what things are funny. She is picking up a lot of things from kids that are in her class that have older siblings.
The other night; however, instead of telling us directly what she thought or grunting at us, she picked up her play phone and fake called the police on us. This was after we told her "no" in regards to requests for marshmallows for dinner and later for cookies for dinner. She told the police to come pick us up because we were saying mean things to her. She then turns to us and says that she called the police on us. When we explained that if the police come get mommy and daddy that she wouldn't have a place to live and wouldn't get to see us anymore, she decided to call one of the grandmas to get mommy and daddy back from the police because we weren't really being mean and she could just have cookies or marshmallows after she ate all of her dinner.
She's too smart for her own good and we have our work cut out for us. Sheesh!
